PARISH MINISTRIES
There are many parish ministries at St. Joseph's and all are in need of volunteers. Parishioners are encouraged to think seriously about becoming involved with at least one of them.
Hospital Visits
Please call the parish office when you know of someone in the hospital at 775–738–6432.
Music
Musicians and singers are always being sought for help at the masses and singers for the choir. If you have one of these talents and would like to share them, please call Valerie Rogers at 775–738–5805.

Alter Servers
If your child would like to become an alter server, please contact Chris or Cathy Valdez at 775–777–3047.
Lectors and Communion Ministers
Lectors and Communion Ministers are very much needed. Please consider becoming a part of one or both of these wonderful ministries and call the parish office for information and signup at 775–738–6432.
Spanish Baptism Class
Spanish Baptism classes are held the last Saturday of the month at 6:00pm in Columbus Hall. Please call Blanca Garcia at 775–753–2132 for more information.
Anointing Of The Sick
Anointing of the sick is done the first Sunday of the month after the 8:00am and 10:00am masses at St. Joseph's Church and after the 4:00pm Mass at Our Lady of the Rubies Chapel.

Baptism – By appointment only. Make appointment with priest or deacon before attending Baptism classes. Must be registered member of parish.
Marriage – Please contact parish office before setting date. Minimum of 6 months advance notice and preparation. Must be registered in parish.

Lector and Eucharistic Minister Training
If you would like to assist in the Ministry of Lector or Ministry of the Eucharist, please call the Parish Office at 738–6432. A training session for each ministry will be provided. Eucharistic Ministers must be Confirmed and be able to receive Holy Communion.
Protecting God's Children Awareness class is also required for each ministry.
